Please note the following
Student Registration rates are available to anyone currently studying a Master or PhD. Uploading confirmation of valid Master/ PhD studies is mandatory.
IFORS 2026 is an in person event and as such there is no option of attending virtually (online).
Day Delegate rates are not available for this conference.
As part of the conference registration you will be asked to enter your EURO-online registration code. This is a 9 digit alphanumeric code that begins with “R”. If you need to check your registration code you can do so on the EURO Online website.
If you are a Scientific Guest Participant, exhibitor, etc or unless you have submitted an abstract or have a EURO-online account you will not have a registration code. If you do not have a code, please leave the box blank.
Registration fees include (unless advised otherwise):
- Admission to all sessions and the exhibition (does not include Scientific Guest Participant)
- Conference materials
- Tea, and coffee break throughout the conference
- Admission to the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening and the Farewell Reception on Friday evening.
- The registration fee for an Scientific Guest Participant covers tea/coffee breaks, welcome party, farewell party and the opening session. Scientific Guest Participant are not permitted to attend conference sessions.
- Please note that the Conference Dinner on Thursday is not included in any registration category and is bookable as an optional extra for all attendees.
Invitation Letters
- Participants are able to download invitation letters from the EURO Online platform once their abstract has been accepted.
- If no abstract has been submitted but an invitation letter is still required, please read the information below carefully :
- ATTENTION: We can only issue an Invitation Letter for registered participants! Please register first before applying for an Invitation Letter.

- Please send an e-mail with the subject "Invitation Letter: IFORS26” with the following information to ifors2026@univie.ac.at
- Name (as stated on passport)your address

- Planned arrival and departure

Visa requirements
The entry formalities for Austria vary according to the country of origin. There are no visa requirements for EU passport holders. Other congress delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry and vaccination requirements to the travel agent or to their local Austrian Embassy / Consulate / Representation in the home country. All foreign citizens must be the holder of a valid passport.
You may need a visa to come to Austria: check this list, if the first column for your country is marked with an "x" you'll need a visa to enter Austria.
Please check this on the Government of Austria website for more information. If you need to apply for a visa find more information here. Please pay attention to the visa processing time. If you need a visa, we will send you an invitation letter for the application after you successfully registered for the conference and we received the conference fee. To request the letter, send an e-Mail to ifors2026@univie.ac.at.
Please note that invitation letters can only be issued to particpants who have registered for the conference and paid the conference fee.
Conference Dinner
The conference dinner will take place at the Hotel Hilton on Thursday July 16, 2026. Attendance is available for booking as part of your conference registration and costs 150,00€. Delegates are required to make their own transport arrangements to and from the dinner venue.

Please note, all abstracts without a registered presenter and completed payment will be removed from the conference programme after May 1, 2026
Registration Terms and Conditions
- All registration fees are quoted and will be charged in EURO(€).
- Conference registration fees are exempted from VAT
- Payment in any other currency will not be accepted.
Payment Methods
- Payment for conference registrations can be made by card
- The registration page accepts all major card types except Diners Club, Paypal, Klarna
- If you do not have any credit card please contact congress@univie.ac.at.
- It is the responsibility of the person creating their registration to save a copy of their invoice and process the invoice for payment.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to congress@univie.ac.at.
- Cancellations received by March 31, 2026 will be refunded in full except for an administration fee of 80€.
- Cancellations received April 25 – June 11, 2026 will be refunded 50% of the total registration value including the cost of the conference dinner.
- No refunds are possible for cancellations received after June 11, 2026.
- Substitutions are possible at any time and at no cost until June 11, 2026. No substitutions are available after this date.
No refunds are claimable due to non attendance at conference.
Please allow 6 weeks for refund payments to be processed.
Conference participant cancellation insurance
In order to avoid annoyance and financial disadvantages, we recommend that you take out a conference cancellation insurance with Europäische Reiseversichung.
